Had  a group  of  9 this past Saturday. Man the bite was slow but the big ones were eating. We had a GREAT day! Thomas and his son Stow was in my boat and we caught 21 and would have caught more but they called it a day with still a hour and half left to fish. The fish you see Thomas holding by himself has a great story behind it. So, we are looking at the rods and the 16 footer rod tip slams in the water. I say GETUM!!! Thomas sets the hook and the rod is bent double. He said man this is a big fish, I said, i hope its a crappie. Well, when it broke water I saw the crappie and said it's only over 1.75lbs. Then I saw something white under that crappie. We all said, WHAT IS THAT? Boom, another big crappie comes up. Thomas had two hogs on one line!!!! Me as the guide got very happy and was trying my best to net both of them and you know what comes next................I was only able to net one fish :( My heart was racing his heart was racing. Just a GREAT, GREAT DAY! The fall bite is slow but we are still getting some big crappie. As it get cooler and the water is being dropped more the fishing is going to pick up.
